submission guidelines

All submissions are read blindly and evaluated with the utmost care and respect. Every current Hamilton Student is eligible and encouraged to submit, regardless of year or geographic location.

Submissions in multiple categories are allowed. You can submit up to twice per category per semester (prose board, poetry board & art board). Please send your submission(s) as an attachment to our email rweather@hamilton.edu with the subject line formatted as [name][board][title of piece]. If you are submitting multiple pieces, please either say “multiple pieces” or the title of your first piece. Attachments should be .docx for written submissions or .jpg for art submissions. If you are submitting art, please include the mediums utilized in the work.

To celebrate Red Weather’s 45th anniversary, we are seeking alumni submissions to publish alongside student work for this fall issue! Alumni and student work are evaluated separately. Guidelines: please send only ONE piece per category (poetry, prose, art) in an email to rweather[at]hamilton[dot]edu. Previously published work is accepted as long as your are explicitly given permission to have your work reprinted. Attachments should be .doc, .docx or .jpg. Deadline is NOVEMBER 19!!
