Tutorial
by Dylan Buckser-Schulz
I keep fumbling my thumb around the sky
looking for a zipper. No luck yet—
but check this out: if you puncture the polyester sheet
onto which your vision is projected
(scissors or housekeys will suffice)
you will find the intern whose job
it is to keep unwinding your life’s film.
He will look shocked. The planet wants to cock
its head: for all the pedestrians, elephants,
vehicles to fall flat on their tushes. I will not
let it happen. My own goal is to upload
all my best thoughts to the cloud
before I drift into the dirt
for what the lighthearted call “that long nap.”
