GABI DE MENDONCA GOMES '24

Gabi is a senior from São Paulo, Brazil who’s currently living in Hoboken, New Jersey. She’s majoring in Literature and Philosophy, and unsurprisingly, you can always find her with a book in-hand that she wants to talk to you about. On campus besides classes, she is on the poetry board for Red Weather Literary Magazine, works at the Oral Communications Center, does Mock Trial, and is the Opinion Section Editor for the Continental Magazine; off campus, she loves snowboarding, hiking, and writing.


HOLLIS MANN '24

Hollis is a senior poetry board member from Connecticut. She plans to double major in Literature and Cinema here at Hamilton but is currently undecided! In addition to the poetry board, Hollis is a Sadove student programmer as well as a member of the Center for Intersectional Feminism (CIF.) She is a longtime lover of prose poetry, overly sweet coffee, and bad period dramas.

JULIA SMITH ‘25

Julia Smith is a junior at Hamilton College studying Sociology, Spanish, and Literature. She's from Houston, Texas, and has been an avid reader and writer since elementary school. In addition to being a member of Red Weather's poetry board, she's a co-captain of the Club Figure Skating team and a Sociology TA. She loves the blueberry commons coffee, Christmastime, and her family. Her favorite poet is Mary Oliver.


DANA BLATTE ‘26

Dana Blatte is a sophomore from Sharon, MA studying Anthropology, Creative Writing, and Chinese. Her work appears online in The Adroit Journal, Beaver Magazine, Lunch Ticket, and more and has been recognized by the National YoungArts Foundation, The Adroit Prizes, and The Adam Gordon Poetry Prize for First-Year Students, among others. She loves fairy tales, unnecessarily long walks, and hoarding pastries from the dining halls.


Senna Camp ‘26

Senna is a second-year who lives near Boston, MA. She plans to major in Environmental Studies and hopes to do a semester abroad in France! On campus, she is also involved with Slow Food and rides with the equestrian team. Her favorite books are The Parable of the Sower and the The Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler and Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica, which are all utterly gut-wrenching books and immaculate reads. Her preferred medium is poetry. 

Gabrielle Brihn ‘26

Gabrielle Brihn is a sophomore from Cleveland, Ohio. She has always enjoyed writing and reading, but she discovered poetry her sophomore year of high school and has been in love with it ever since. She enjoys learning how to play the guitar, running, and mac and cheese. 

Brendan Byrne ‘26

Brendan is a sophomore from Yonkers, New York, with plans to major in Creative Writing and Government. Their insatiable compulsion for writing and unrestrained obsession with learning drives their intellectual and natural exploration; he is Vice President of the Philosophy club, sings with the Hamilton College choir, and writes for The Monitor. His work centers closely on nature and religion, and he is often lost in the woods.

Dylan Buckser-Schulz ‘27

Dylan is a first-year from Westchester, New York, who plans to major in Creative Writing. On campus, you can find him playing drums for Hamilton's Jazz Ensemble, playing Badminton with Hamilton's Badminton Club, or joyfully sauntering through the glens. Dylan is the recipient of a fine arts award in creative writing from Interlochen Center for the Arts, and was selected to attend the 2022 Iowa Young Writers' Studio, where he studied poetry under Gilad Jaffe. His work has been published in Kalopsia Literary Journal. His favorite poet is Carl Phillips. He loves his Nintendo Switch, indulging lots of ice cream, and long conversations.

MAJA DOMAGALA '24

Maja Domagała is a senior studying Creative Writing and Women’s and Gender Studies at Hamilton College. They were born in Nysa, Poland and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Most of their writing focuses on queerness, immigration, and mental health. Previously, they have been published in Arcturus. When they are not reading or writing, they enjoy going on strolls in the glens, trying different coffees and teas, and wondering how the next Locked Tomb book will make them cry.


JESSICA FRANTZEN '24

Jessica Frantzen is a senior from Pennsylvania hoping to major in Psychology and Japanese. A member of the debate club eboard and editorially-minded, Jessica is fond of stories with a fantastical twist and those that place emphasis on mental health and LGBT+ themes. In her free time, when not dreaming up new characters, Jessica enjoys playing tabletop and video games and desperately trying to save her new succulent.

CAITLIN MOEHRLE '24

Prose Board Head Editor

Caitlin Moehrle is a senior from New York majoring in Creative Writing and Music. She was a 2023 recipient of the Thomas E. Meehan Prize in Creative Writing and is a violinist for the Hamilton College Orchestra. Currently, she spends her days typing away, adding words to her senior thesis—an epic fantasy novel with musical inspirations. If she manages to invent just one new mythical creature per week, she considers that more successful than any word count.

KIMMIE JOHNSON ‘24

Kimmie Johnson is a senior at Hamilton College, where she's studying Archaeology and Creative Writing. She's fond of historical fiction, especially historical fiction surrounding previously-untold aspects of women's history. When she's not writing or listening to 80s power ballads, she's usually thinking about what to write next.

ALISON ISKO '25

Alison Isko is a Creative Writing major with a (probable) minor in French. As she’s from New York City, she’s developed far too many opinions on far too many things, primarily other people’s writing. Outside of Red Weather, she is Editor-in-Chief of Suture and has interned at several publishing houses and literary agencies. Her work has been published in Glass Mountain. 

WILLA KARR ‘25

Social Media Director

Willa Karr is a junior from Hoboken, NJ. She plans to major in Anthropology, with a double minor in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing. She has always loved writing, and spends most of her free time journaling or reading fiction for inspiration. At Hamilton, she plays rugby, works on campus sustainability, is a co-chair of the Planned Parenthood board, and a DJ for the WHCL radio show. During her free time, she likes to go on hikes and spend time outdoors with her friends.

Jae Thomes ‘25

Jae is a junior studying creative writing at Hamilton College. He is passionate about LGBTQ+ fiction and won the George A. Watrous Literary Prize for prose in his sophomore year. He has experience as an editorial intern at Red Hen Press (red theme!) and works as a peer advisor at the Hamilton College Career Center. When he isn't writing or editing, he's usually playing tabletop roleplaying games or reading for inspiration.

Erin is a sophomore from Sudbury, MA who is intending to major in economics with a minor in creative writing. At Hamilton she is on Dance Team, writes for The Spectator, and volunteers with Hamilton Reads. In her free time she enjoys golfing, reading, and going on long walks with her dog.

Morgan Hodorowski ‘26

Morgan Hodorowski is a sophomore from Hillsborough, New Jersey considering studies in Literature, Chinese, and Philosophy. In addition to the Red Weather Prose Broad, she is also an editor for Suture and The Continental. and organizes volunteer opportunities for HAVOC. When she's not spending hours annotating text, you can find her avidly consuming any and all fantasy and sci-fi media.

Sydney Lee ‘27

Sydney Lee is a freshman from Charleston, South Carolina who plans on majoring in government at Hamilton College. She enjoys writing short fiction and flash narratives centered around themes of surrealism. In her free time, you can find her sitting outside on a bench, walking around the glens, or wandering around campus in search of new, intriguing study spots.

Eliza Roberts is a senior at Hamilton College where she would love to major in Creative Writing or History. She finds inspiration in both visual arts and writing, and hopes to continue both throughout her life. In high school, she received a National Scholastic Award for art, and contributed both writing and art for the Literary Arts Magazine. She finds inspiration in both visual arts and writing, and hopes to continue both throughout her life. Aside from those, she loves cuddling with her corgi, Puck, baking and ice skating!


MAIA MACEK '25

Maia is a junior who grew up in Colorado, moved to São Paulo, Brazil in middle school and spent most of high school in Tokyo, Japan. She loves creating all kinds of mixed media art working with collage, paint, and photography. Her artwork and poetry has been published in her high school's literary and arts magazine. When she's not creating, she loves running, exploring the outdoors, and playing ultimate frisbee with her team.

LAURYN SOCHA ‘25

Lauryn Socha is a junior from Buffalo, NY. She plans to major in Art or Sociology. She loves taking photographs, digital and film, and playing around with photoshop. She had a couple of her photographs shown at the Albright Knox Museum’s AK teens exhibit. You can usually find her sewing, skiing, listening to music, or cooking!

Cate Iven is a junior from Syracuse, New York. She finds inspiration in both fine arts and writing, but mainly practices sculpture and painting. She loves bright colors, which you can often see integrated into her art. Outside of the studio, she enjoys hiking, reading, playing volleyball, and crying over her chem homework.



Alya MacDonald ‘25

Alya is a junior from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she has lived ever since moving from Chicago at the age of six. She is studying Studio Art and Biology at Hamilton College and loves all things that lie at the intersection of art and science. She enjoys all things photography, from photographs that capture the intimacy of human nature to those that explore the intricacies of the microscopic world. She loves practicing aerial arts, playing guitar, and going on adventures. 


TULASI VITHIANANTHAN ‘26

Tulasi is a sophomore from Sharon, Massachusetts. Most days, you’ll find her listening to Dominic Fike while adding paper notes and drawings to her growing collage wall. Her favorite things include nature, pinterest boards, indie rom-coms, and T.S. Eliot’s The Wasteland. Her preferred medium of art is drawing, however she never misses an opportunity to paint with gouache. At Nobles, Tulasi served as the editor-in-chief of their Arts and Literary Organization for two years while being awarded the Bramhall-Bridge Purchase Prize, where the school bought her artwork for public display.

Caitlin Blanksteen is a freshman from Renton, Washington, who is interested in biology, archaeology, and visual art. She loves late night walks, spending time with her friends, and rewatching her favorite shows over and over again. When bored, Caitlin feels the need to create; you can often find her drawing, painting, and sewing. Caitlin particularly enjoys creating mixed media art and intertwining art and writing.
